Both parents live on Trill with 6 other children, having moved there 6 years ago while their oldest (Terra) was in her final training at the Academy. Their other children are still in school studying various subjects such as exoecology, economics, and exobiology of plants and animals.

- Terra Ane joined the Academy when her parents pushed her to become a Marine biologist. This may sound strange, but due to her hatred of fish, she did not want to work with them, so she decided to make herself happy and become a doctor (but also, because of her best friend. Best friend, Rosianna, died when they were on a camping trip when they were 15, and Terra made a promise to her just before her death, that she would never let that happen again to anyone was she was with)
She lived on a variety of planets due to her parents professions. (Earth, Centaurus, Lejasty, Coronia IV, Gervan's Planet, Nebufan, and Mousete)
Archaeology is a minor passion.
Loves children (due to her large family) and pets of all sorts (except fish).
Was engaged to Wellis, son of Ambassador of Lejasty, a few years ago, but ended it because of wanting posting to ship or station. He wanted her to remain planetside and marry him, but she wanted a station/ship posting. She suggested the breakup, as to be fair to him.
Dated Jared, CMO of a starbase...he was taken hostage on a trip to see Terra, and was assaulted and injured...he could not resolve his feelings, and ended up taking his own life, heartbreaking Terra, as she arrived on the Base he was stationed at, just minutes after his death.
Very innovative when needed.
Hasn't been back to Trill since she was 5 standard years old, except for a medical mission and a 2 hour stopover at her parents' house for dinner
Can get any plant to grow, from any planet (could say this is a hobby).
Is a chronic procrastinator, except when things are very important.

Six month posting to Starbase 14, junior medical officer in exophysiological surgery. Was part of a medical mission to rescue a group of wounded Federation soldiers on a dominion army devastated planet. Due to transporter complications, was stranded on the planet with the XO of the Arabat, Commander Uzer Ki. Survival and friendship followed. Still remains friends with Captain Uzer Ki of the USS Bismark.
Six month post graduate course in psychology after the starbase posting, much to deal with her own reactions as to learn to help others.
