Born on Earth, in Brisitsh Columbia, Canada,
Jeremey spen very few years on Earth in his early life. At age 2, his
father was transferred to the Engineering department on Starbase 25. In 2361
David Aster succumbed to a Rushmont infection, leaving wife Marie a widow and young
Jeremy, fatherless. Maria Ater stayed on Starbase 25 another 3 years before being transferred to the U.S.S. Enterprise, NCC -1701 D. She was accciently killed in a bomb blast in the Koinonian ruins, leaving 11 year old Jeremy an orphan. The energy-based beings known as the Koinonians felt bad for the accidental death and offered to care for Jeremy, posing as his mother and re-creatinghis home n Earth. It was decided that Jeremy would be better off dealing with the truth of his mother's death. He was then made a part of then-Lieutenant Worf's family, as the Klingon felt responsible for Lt. Aster's death. | |
Jeremy was eventually
sent back to Earth to live with his biological aunt and Uncle, Sarah and
Jeremy (young Jeremy's namesake) Aster. He was nicknamed "JD" to avoid confusion around the
household and the name stuck with him through his high school years.
All through and right after high school, Jeremy worked with his
uncle in is shutte and small star cruiser repair business. | |
Though he was an excellent mechanic, and thrived at the business, Jeremy felt the pull of the stars and longed once again for the Starfleet life. In 2374, he enrolled in Starfleet Academy. His piloting skills landed him a position with the famed Nova Squadron. |
