This will probably go down as one of the most amazing/unusual things I have ever seen. Dr. Fenway, along with the aid of Commander Hart and Dr. Shadow, just finished performing surgery on a planet-sized spatial life form, which suddenly turned out to be two life forms. Our CMO believes it was not a pregnant life form, as originally conjectured, but two life forms, maybe mates, that had came together to support the one that had been injured. Once the surgery had been completed, I ordered the ship a safe distance away from the original configuration of this spatial beauty, and after seceral moments, it split into two equal sized of half the size. The creatures then turned toward the ship and nudged our shields but made no overt offensive moves against us. Both Dr. Fenway and Dr. Shadow agreed they were showing their gratitude before they moved on at about warp 8. Commendations will be put in Dr. Fenway, Commander Hart and Dr. Shadow's files.
FOR THE SIM
It has been two weeks since the encounter with the spatial creature)s). We are back on patrol in the frontier of Federation Space. It has been pretty quiet since the "surgery" and that usually does bode well... when it gets too quiet.
