I'm really doubting the caprain's decision to allow his kid to go on the away mission. He didn't take it well, when Andrews and Trey were killed on the Firegon station. And, rightfully so. I know I wouldn't have been able to handle it when I was Mal's age. Fortunately, for me, I was busy getting the shuttle ready. I didn't have to witness it. Soren's a trained secutity officer, and a Vulcan to boot, They can handle this kind of stuff, but the kid...... I don't know.
Come to think of it, I probably should have followed him. He split from us the moment we got back aboard the ship. He probably could use someone to talk to. I just received a message that there is going to be a debfiefing in about 45 minutes. I think I will go see if I can find Malachi. Make sure he is okay.
